Maddie’s first collection of short stories is rejected by her publisher. Her boyfriend and her best friend are getting it on. Her mother is leaving her father - for a woman. And the guy who broke her heart in high school is back in her life. Hiding out at the family beach house, and ignoring her messy life, Maddie can’t resist getting involved in her family’s fragmenting relationships. And, of course, makes things worse. Over the next few days she nearly wrecks her parents’ marriage, rediscovers her inspiration as a writer, rejects and regains her best friend, and reconnects with the guy who broke her heart in high school. Who might just be the love of her life. When she writes about what is happening, those she loves feel betrayed. Will Maddie publish these stories? Will she able to mend these damaged relationships? Will her realisation that that true love has been there all along, be too late?

The Tavern - 22 May 2025 - R16

Matt is a 29 year old slacker that works part time at his best friend’s famous older brother’s Cambridge Laundromat. Despite not being in his dream job Matt has a seemingly good life. He has a lovely long-term girlfriend Kelly (whose dad Phil conveniently owns the tavern), a tight knit group of mates, and a local tavern which keeps him entertained. The Tavern is a run down, eye-sore frequented by few customers with only the annual stripper night drawing a crowd. When Matt and his mates enquire about the date of the stripper night, Phil tells them that it won’t be happening this year. He’s set to sell the pub to slick Ponsonby property developer Vick Preston who plans on turning it into an upscale food court called IFD (International Food District). After a few beers Matt and his mates hatch a plan to buy the pub (with the blessing of Phil who ‘gives them a week’) with a series of bizarre fundraising ideas that test the strength of their relationships.

F1 - June 26th 2025

From Apple Original Films and the filmmakers from Top Gun: Maverick comes F1®, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, famed Formula 1® driver Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner and Chad Oman. The highly anticipated Formula 1® racing feature stars Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1®, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid. The feature has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport.

Superman: Legacy - 10th July 2025

In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind. DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing the film, which Gunn directs from his own screenplay, based on characters from DC, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
